Alas, the fruit is doubly forbidden, She’s a Muslim, his religion’s Hindu; Star-crossed lovers, who, so sweetly smitten Entwine their souls, stirring grudges anew. A tale of sorrow, heartbreak and dismay Now inspires our Dishoom Borough café.

1950s Bombay, Crawford Market. Everywhere: light, chatter, spices, fruits, vegetables and flowers in vivid displays. Loud calls from vendors proclaim the excellence of their wares. And beneath it all, a darker trade of hush-hush deals and hafta. It is in this world we lay our scene…

Dishoom Borough comes to life amid the clamouring backdrop of Bombay’s Crawford Market, at 11–13 Park Street. Open all day, every day, serving Bombay comfort food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening tipples. All are welcome.
